Are the documents still in the process of being transferred? I want to see the Estimate of the Situation one in particular. It's been said before that it reportedly concluded that some reports were likely extraterrestrial in origin. Although it might be heavily redacted now, too.
There's no way to know for sure. I received records for the FAA and NRC FOIAs roughly a month before they were uploaded to the National Archives site. The government shutdown will definitely hamper the transfers and uploads right now. I plan to follow up with NARA when able to confirm the state of the transfers.
You’re welcome! And, I’ve sent quite a few. I received similar lists from the FAA and NRC. Most of those records are now up on the National Archives website. I still have some open FOIAs and a lot to follow up on. https://hm05uap.substack.com/p/uap-record-transfer-status-09302025
There clearly must be more, since the only records referenced here were all at the Air Foce Historical Research Agency and the most recent one was from 1964. Further, they seem to be asserting that no records are currently classified, which I cannot imagine will be their final position.
Yeah, my guess is there’s more out there. I have a feeling that agencies under the DoD transferred their more recent or sensitive records to AARO. And if AARO is compiling the lists then my DoD FOIAs will come back with little to nothing, which seems to be the case so far. I’ve been waiting to get a better scope of everything before doing a FOIA for AARO.

Thank you!
Thank you very much. Have you sent this same request to other government agencies?
